Summer in the Garden

Outdoor play is a very important part of our Montessori school day. Now that the weather seems to be improving, the children can get out and run, play and take part in looking after our flower bed. They enjoy watering the plants and digging out weeds, which teaches them how to help plants grow.

We have also been talking about our theme of the week “under the sea” and learning interesting facts about sea creatures! This will flow into our next theme – all about ocean pollution and awareness of the environment. We made these colourful fish crafts to bring home.
