Learning about Wool

Preschool education covers a wide range of topics from science and nature topics (such as the story of wool) to emotional and social interests. We love crafts in Smart Cookies and last week we talked about the story of wool in circle time. Lisa showed the children what knitting looks like and later the children made these fluffy sheep pictures.

In contrast, this week we have been talking about kindness in the classroom. This can take many forms such as sharing toys, to including others in a game, to a simple “please” and “thank you”. We talked about how these behaviours can make everyone feel better and how this can create a happy atmosphere in the classroom.
