Building Together

Outdoor play is beneficial in so many areas of a child’s development. Simple basic items can provide the most play value for children – we all remember the times when our child has played with the box and not the new toy which was inside! After taking part in a webinar on outdoor play, we introduced some sanded planks of various sizes to the garden environment. The children built ramps for cars, walkways, mazes and used them to dig for treasure. This type of play is great for children to improve gross motor skills, communication and team work. It also builds their confidence and self-esteem.
