Nature and the natural world have a special place in the Montessori classroom. Children are fascinated by small creatures! This week we had some special visitors to the classroom in the form of some frogspawn. We talked in circle time about the life cycle of the frog and we monitored the progress of the frogspawn as tiny tadpoles emerged. It was exciting to see the new tadpoles swimming around!
As it was Mother’s Day on Sunday, we made handprint cards with some free drawing inside. The children produced lovely pictures of flowers and portraits of mum.
