We have been exploring concepts in our classroom such as opposites and colours. We made these colour wheels with the contrast colours opposite each other. We talked about quiet versus loud, up versus down and night versus day. The children got the idea very quickly! Many of the Montessori materials involve comparing objects such as the Pink Tower which is built largest to smallest (seriation) or the Touch boards which graduate from smooth to rough.
We finished our week before the mid-term break by making these fun Valentine’s cards with these happy hearts!
